Helping Kitchener Find the Perfect Contact Lenses

Did you know that your eyes are just as unique as your fingerprints? And of course, your visual needs are completely different from anyone else’s, even if you both have the same prescription.

There are so many elements involved in finding the right contact lenses beyond just prescription, wearing schedule, and brand. That is why a contact lens exam and fitting are necessary to ensure you get the best possible vision and experience from contact lenses.

Our team will take the necessary care to ensure all your visual needs are met, providing you with clarity and a comfortable fit.

How Does the Process Work?

Examining Your Eyes

Before we can prescribe contact lenses, we need to make sure we have knowledge of your prescription and eye health. Even if you’ve had an eye exam recently, we will need to confirm your contact lens prescription, which is different from your spectacle prescription.

We will also take this opportunity to ensure your eyes are healthy, and that you do not suffer from any eye conditions that would make contact lenses difficult to wear or contraindicated.

Measuring Your Eyes

Once we have confirmed that contact lenses are a good option for you, we will move on to the fitting.

Using state-of-the-art technology, we will take precise measurements of your eyes. This will help us find the most comfortable fit and the most accurate design for you. We will also take the time to discuss specialty lenses like multifocals, depending on your unique needs.

Trying Your New Lenses

Now that we have gathered all of the necessary information, we can enter the trial phase. Based on the data we have gathered, we will select the contact lenses that will best meet your needs. Our team will provide you with trial contacts to sample at home, and provide training on how to properly care for your contact lenses and eyes, as well as how you can safely insert and remove the contact lenses from your eye.

Now you take your lenses for a “test drive.” Wear the trial lenses as directed to see if they work for you. You will return for a follow up appointment to assess that the fit of the contact lenses remain optimal, and vision and comfort looks and feels right. During that appointment, we will make any necessary adjustments and once we find the right lens fit, we will write you a prescription for those lenses and order a supply of lenses for you.

Once fitted, contact lenses can be conveniently ordered online here.
