It is not uncommon to have an eyelash or speck of makeup in your eye. If such an object is just clinging to the surface of your eye, you may be able to remove it yourself. However, if the object is embedded in your eye tissue, call Visual Sense Eye Care immediately.
Do not attempt to remove a foreign body with tweezers or any other tool. Instead, try flushing your eye with cool, clean water. If the water does not wash the object out of your eye, contact Visual Sense Eye Care to book an appointment to remove it. In the meantime, do not rub your eye, as it could further damage your eye tissue.
Any chemical contact could cause severe and irreparable damage to your delicate eye tissues. If your eyes come into contact with chemicals, flush them with cool, clean water immediately. You’ll need to continue rinsing your eyes for a full 15 minutes, even if they feel better. Then seek medical attention.
